Amuerte Coca Leaf Gin Blue Edition
It's getting more and more colourful at Amuerte Gin. After the skull gin has already thrilled us with its black, white and red editions, Amuerte is following suit once again. Try the popular Amuerte Gin now also in the blue limited edition.
The story of Coca Leaves
Amuerte Coca Leaf Gin stands out from all other gins primarily because of its use of Peruvian coca leaves. But it wasn't only the drug lord Pablo Escobar who got this particular plant's attention. Long before his time, coca leaves were used to cure hunger and diseases. The story of how these leaves, of all things, came to be used for gin is as unique as the gin itself. On a backpacking trip through the tropical forest, the founders of Amuerte Gin saw locals chewing the coca plant. This gave them the idea to use the unique taste of these leaves for gin. This was the beginning of Amuerte Gin.
Sweet taste of blue fig
The Amuerte Coca Leaf Gin Blue Edition is based on the traditional recipe of the Amuerte Black Gin. However, it is additionally enriched with Brazilian blue figs, giving it a unique and fruity taste. This fruit also has a remarkable story to tell. Mentioned by many Greek and Roman authors, it enjoyed such a high reputation from the 15th century onwards that it counted as a true luxury product. So the blue fig is perfect for making an already special gin that little bit more exclusive.
Carpe Diem!
"Carpe Diem" is the motto of the mystical and sombre Amuerte Gin. With the skull on the bottle, the founders want to remind us that every day of life should be enjoyed until death. They could hardly choose a more exclusive bottle to convey this message. The bottle in bright blue refined with gold foil is probably the most unique thing the gin world has to offer and a real must for every collector.
