Armand de Brignac Brut Gold Midas is the largest luxury champagne bottle in the world. Its volume corresponds to that of 40 regular bottles. Champagne bottles of this size were banned at the turn of the 20th century; the ban lasted 75 years until new techniques protected glassmakers from explosions caused by the high pressure caused by such a large volume of champagne in a single container. The Midas has been on the market since 2011 and is only available in strictly limited quantities.
