Benromach Organic

Benromach Organic is a very special Highland Single Malt Scotch. The Speyside Whisky was the first whisky to be fully certified by the Soil Association. To achieve this, the distillery had to adhere to strict organic guidelines at every stage of production and also for the ingredients. The result is an excellent Single Malt, which is completely committed to sustainability.

Production

For the production of Benromach Organic only Chariot-Organic barley is used. The barley is dried over peat smoke, so the special smoky charm gets into the Single Malt. The distillery, which is one of the smallest in Scotland, also uses spring water from the Romach Hills. The spring is close to the distillery and the water is another piece of the puzzle in the regional and sustainable character of the whisky. Finally, this exquisite drop is allowed to mature in untreated American oak barrels.

Aroma and taste

The golden brown colour of Benromach Organic already shimmers seductively in the bottle. When poured into a glass, intensive oak wood and exciting fruity notes are immediately recognizable. The elegant smoke also floats in the nose. The taste shows the whole class of the Single Malt Scotch: The aromas known from nosing are mixed on the tongue with spices, coniferous wood and sweet vanilla. Wonderfully balanced, Benromach Bio proves that it is something very special. Because it is not only its variety of aromas that inspires, but also its powerful colour is created entirely without additives.

With or without water?

The Single Malt Whisky is already pure a full pleasure. If you want to get to know another side of the Scotch, you can unlock it with a little water. Besides the oak wood, there are intensive fruit aromas, raisins and a sweetness reminiscent of creamy sweets.
