Martell VSOP Aged in Red Barrels 0,7L (40%)
The house Martell uses a specific double distillation method in traditional Charentais pot stills to extract the essence of the eaux-de-vie. The grapes used come from the four finest growth areas of the Charente region: Borderies, Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, and Fins Bois. After distillation, the eaux-de-vie age in oak barrels infusing soft and subtle tannins characterised by finesse and complexity. Naturally, the eaux-de-vie absorb some of their flavour from the wood and acquire its amber colour and special aroma.
Martell VSOP Medaillon is a dark, amber-coloured and long-aged cognac with beautiful aromas of dried fruits, vanilla, and oak wood. On the palate, this superb drink is full-bodied and smooth with a subtle sweetness and a lingering finish. Some people may also know this good drop as the Martell VSOP medallion. This is what this sweet cognac was called before its name was changed.
