Balvenie Double Wood 12 YO Single Malt Whisky matures for a total of 12 years in different barrels, about 10 of them in old Bourbon barrels and the last two in ex-Oloroso sherry barrels made of Spanish oak. Its strong character aroma and fine taste catch nuances of nutmeg, cinnamon, sherry, raisins, vanilla and honey, while the smoky oak wood note is also always present. The long and warm aftertaste is particularly harmonious with oak and vanilla.
